ISA Congress 61 – Edinburgh – May 26
The Congress, which is an annual opportunity for international co-operation and friendship for the veteran community, attracts attendees from all around the globe; this year we were pleased to welcome 130 submariners and, in many cases, their partners, from 16 countries, including South Korea, India, Australia, the Americas and across Europe. Initial feedback suggests that this year’s event in Edinburgh has been the best yet…and this could not be possible without the generosity of WRS.
The commemorative element of the Congress is a particularly important part of the process and this year’s event at Dundee was especially poignant as the memorial commemorates the international submarine force that suffered loss through WW2. The lunch, which was the element funded by WRS, was a great way to continue the comradeship and for our delegates to learn more about the important place that Dundee has in the evolution of the UK Submarine Service
